Lauren Oliver
Lauren Oliver serves as an Associate Director of Living-Learning Programs. In her role, Lauren supports the Residential Colleges through the supervision of Student Life Coordinators and student staff members. Alongside Faculty Principals, Student Life Coordinators, and student leadership, she strives to develop a community centered on the shared values of VT’s Residential College model.
Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Gordon College and holds a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Development from Taylor University. Previously, she served as an Assistant Director of Residential Education at Dartmouth College, at the start of their house system.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys learning, traveling, being active, and spending quality time with friends. She also plays roller derby for a local team.
Lauren deeply values the chance to help students make connections in their life between their academic pursuits and personal passions, believing that a residential college is an amazing laboratory for an integrated life centered on community and driven by curiosity.
Lauren’s favorite aspiration for student learning is Courageous Leadership. She said, “I believe we all have a responsibility to actively create a world that is just and humane - a world where we defend and protect each person’s right to thrive.”
